The Mannequin Experiment

The idea of the activity was having a group of two, each group given words associated with symptoms of either depression and anxiety. And they had to place the word with blue tack on a small mannequin (big mannequin for actual lesson) of where the symptom would develop or found wether it would be the head, chest, arms, legs or hands.

Trouble concentrating

Fatigue

Loss of interest

Overeating or appetite loss

Headaches

Pessimism

Sleep problems

Numbness and tingling

Shortness of breath

Heart palpitations

Dry mouth

Nausea

Tense muscles

Dizziness

The mannequin experiment was a better result compared to the anagram activity because it was better in terms preparation and created more conversation however it still convey a depressing vibe. The feedback we got from the experiment from our peers was that the activity was fun but was conveying more of a therapeutic feel then for entertainment purpose like a game.
